These resources aim to provide guidance and community support, helping parents navigate their unique challenges effectively. Some places to look into are that helped our family locally:
How can I connect with other parents in Southern NH?
Connecting with other parents can be done through local meetups, online community groups, and social media platforms. These connections foster a supportive environment where experiences and advice can be shared, enhancing the parenting journey. Myself, I logged into my Facebook account and searched for Parenting Groups under ADHD, Autism, ODD and Children with Anxiety and I was able join a number of supportive groups. That alone made me feel like I wasn’t so alone in my journey.
What types of support groups/Workshops are offered?
Support groups vary from in-person meetings to virtual sessions, focusing on different aspects of parenting neurodivergent children. These groups provide a safe space for sharing experiences, gaining insights, and receiving emotional support from others who understand similar challenges. If you visit some of the places recommended above some of them have support groups you can attend or even some on-line groups. The Upper Room and CLM was a blessing for us. Events are designed to educate, empower, and connect parents, providing valuable tools and resources for their journey.
Stay tuned as I hope to have some workshops up and running by the end of 2026!
